Large Format Scanning
![]() |
Transforming your plans, documents, and colour images into a digital format is easy with our complete range of scanning services. The transformation of hardcopy drawings into digital data enables you to leverage the power of modern computing methods.
At Cadd West Bureau we provide B&W or colour scanning services to suite your requirements. Whether your media for scanning is in 35mm film format, or large format hard copy, or an entire project library, we provide fast solutions to digitally scanning the image into a computer file format of your choice.
Archive scanning involves the scanning of data for long term storage. There are multiple benefits both short term and long term of this concept. Archive scanning provides significant reductions in physical storage space to occur as space previously required for the storage of archived documents is no longer required. Office efficiency also improves as scanning into a readily accessible system allows more efficient access to the scanned data right from your workstation.
CAD Perfect conversions involve converting the scanned raster images retrieved from scanning hardcopy drawings, into accurate vector format. The vector based CAD drawing is then available for use and modification in an editor such as AutoCAD or MicroStation, extending the use beyond just digital data (D2) and enabling the use of Design Digital Data (D3).
We have a range of options available for our clients covering the spectrum of colour or black and white scanning and CAD perfect conversions.
Cadd West Bureau's wide format colour scanner is designed to cater for originals larger than A3 size right up to 914mm wide. Suitable for maps, charts, posters, artistic images and perspectives, our wide format scanner produces high quality digital images right up to 600 dpi resolutions.
